The Figshare platform is now used to store and make discoverable all types of research outputs from datasets to open access papers. Metadata is an integral part of properly describing these outputs and making them FAIR. This webinar covered Figshare’s efforts to support a flexible and usable metadata schema that is broadly applicable to all the outputs an institution needs to store.
This webinar included:
- A review of the Metadata Schema and an overview of recent additions and related features
- A look at how the Figshare Metadata Schema maps to other standard schemas and how to access metadata in several different formats
- Examples of how institutions and authors are using the Figshare metadata fields to describe research outputs across disciplines
